Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our OCR API software package, based on open-source OCR software and designed to process Indian government identification documents. By accessing or using our OCR API software package, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.


  1. Use of the OCR API Software Package

    1. You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use our OCR API software package. If you are accessing or using the OCR API software package on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms and Conditions.

    2. You agree to use the OCR API software package solely for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

    3. You acknowledge that the OCR API software package is provided on an "as is " and "as available " basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the OCR results generated by the software package.

  2. Data Privacy and Security

    1. You understand and agree that by using our OCR API software package, you may provide us with access to personal and sensitive information present on Indian government identification documents. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of this information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

    2. You agree not to upload, transmit, or otherwise provide any information that you do not have the legal right to disclose, including but not limited to personally identifiable information of third parties.

  3. Intellectual Property Rights

    1. The OCR API software package, including all software, algorithms, and content contained therein, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

    2. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the OCR API software package for the purpose of processing Indian government identification documents in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

  4. Limitation of Liability

    1. To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our OCR API software package, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses.

    2. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing or using the OCR API software package.

  5. Indemnification

    1. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the OCR API software package or violation of these Terms and Conditions.

  6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

    2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi.

  7. Changes to Terms and Conditions

    1. We reserve the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page.
